Our client provides EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and maintenance business related services and solutions regionally for various plants and facilities in the Energy, Transition, Healthcare/Life Science, Industrial/Urban Infrastructure and Resource Recycling fields. Role & Responsibilities

The Field Control Manager in the O&G company will play a crucial role in project management within the construction domain.

 

Key Responsibilities

•Implementation of Planning and Scheduling Standards: Ensure adherence to our client's Planning and Scheduling standards and procedures, striving for alignment with industry best practices.

 

•Management Support: Provide support to the Site Manager in matters about schedule, progress, cost, and contract management.

 

•Project Coordination: Initiate project coordination efforts with the client, project sponsors, and the project management team at client's Japan’s office.

 

•Contract Review and Scope Baseline Development: Review contract draft and bid documents, identify key points in the Scope of Work (SOW), and clarify ambiguous points for clear scope definition.

 

•Team Management: Develop and manage Planning and Reporting teams to ensure effective project planning and progress monitoring.

 

•Schedule Development: Develop Level 3 Schedules using Primavera 6, considering Enterprise Environmental Factors and Organizational Process Assets.

 

•Subcontract Management: Develop subcontract schedule annexes and evaluate bidder offers, along with developing Manpower & Equipment Deployment Plans.

 

•Strategic Planning and Analysis: Strategically plan for different critical situations and conduct What-if Analyses for various scenarios.

 

•Risk Management: Utilize various Risk Management Techniques for both schedule and cost, including Risk Register brainstorming sessions and the development of risk responses for positive and negative risks.

 

•Progress Monitoring and Material Management: Develop progress monitoring systems using CMS and Virtual Manager VM, aligning with Primavera 6. Also, develop Material Management Systems including material handling and inspection procedures.

•Safety and Compliance: Ensuring safety standards are met and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols to minimize impact on communities and ecosystems.

 

Other Responsibilities

 

•Oversee tank construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

•Lead and supervise a team of construction personnel, including workers and subcontractors.

•Participate in construction planning, including resource estimation and milestone identification.

•Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

•Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and manage construction risks.

•Communicate and collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.

•Maintain construction records, including progress reports, material logs, and inspection reports.

•Contribute to cost control efforts by monitoring construction activities and resource utilization.

•Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices for the construction project.

Requirements

•Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

•Minimum 15 years of working experience with LNG Tank Construction| O& G company’s Construction projects’ supervisory background under EPC Projects

•Oil & Gas industry’s experience with relevant certs is crucial

•10-15 years of work experience in the EPC projects

•Sound knowledge on industry’s best practices and past experience in attaining the alignment with industry best practices.

•Solid technical and practical experience in the relevant discipline, including ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.

•Expertise in Schedule Development: Development skills up to Level 3 Schedules using Primavera 6, considering Enterprise Environmental Factors and Organizational Process Assets.

•Proven skills in various Risk Management Techniques for both schedule and cost, including Risk Register brainstorming sessions and the development of risk responses for positive and negative risks.

•Material Management skill: Expertise in developing progress monitoring systems using CMS and Virtual Manager VM, aligning with Primavera 6.

•Progress Monitoring skill: Expertise in developing Material Management Systems including material handling and inspection procedures.

•Strategic Planning and Analyzing skills

•Subcontract Management skill: Expertise in developing subcontract schedule annexes and evaluate bidder offers, along with developing Manpower & Equipment Deployment Plans.

•Expertise in Implementation of Planning and Scheduling Standards to ensure adherence to our client's Planning and Scheduling standards and procedures, striving for alignment with industry best practices.

•Recognized trade qualifications in the relevant discipline or equivalent experience

•Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and a sound knowledge in relevant technical Software (such as Construction Management System, 3D CAD Models, etc.

•Committed to complete the contractual period: 2.5 years- 3 years of contract job (approximately)

•Comfortable with construction site’s environment in the UAE & Japan

•Willing to work 60 hours per week

•Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
